Thank You Lord for each day of school and for all the teachers you send my way. I pray Father God I will learn and grow up to be like You some day. Amen

Thank You for this day.

Thank Your for Your teaching.

Thank You for never going away.

Thank You for my heart always reaching.

You always reach my heart.

My heart always reaches for You.

Your teachings to me You impart.

My heart tries to follow faithful and true.

Good teacher help me to hear.

Help me to learn.

Take away my fear.

And give me wisdom in return.

Help me do rightly unto others as You would have me do.

Help me teach them about You.

My heart cries out, "Good Teacher whatever You do,

Help me to grow to be just like You."

School

Tomorrow the children will be going back to school here. Hopefully they are refreshed from summer vacation. I know some will be reluctant to return. I always liked the smell of fresh paper, new pencils, and new books. There was a sort of excitement in the air at being around others my age and yet a little fear of the unknown. Every day I am in the school of  life with God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit. Some things haven't changed. I still Love the smell of fresh paper and pencils as each year I start a spiritual journal. I still love the smell of new books when ever I buy a new bible, or other book from the Christian book store. Every time I start a new bible study or know the Lord is about to do something new with me I feel excitement in the air and a little fear of the unknown. When ever I get in with a new group of Christians I always get a feeling of excitement in the air at being with brothers and sisters waiting on the Lord. I also feel a little fear of the unknown such as will they like me if  I am a little different? Or if I do things a little different? Sometimes I forget we are all in the same school with the same teacher (God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit). Just remembering that should wipe out the fears. Just like with earthly school God gives time of recess /vacation (refreshing). He expects me to listen, pay attention, obey, interact rightly with other students and teachers. I am constantly learning and growing. There are some lessons that are difficult and some that are easy. What I am saying is I can really relate to the children going to school tomorrow, and everyday. God like a good teacher gives me love, understanding, and encouragement. He also helps me develop a good personality and attitude and more. I like the students I will see tomorrow need to develop good friendships, manners, and habits and more. Un like them I don't get a printed report card. My report card comes in many forms such as: people's reactions, the Holy Spirit speaking to my heart and my conscience and what shape my life is in. School you either love it or hate it. I always loved school. I love God's school even more! I could wake up with an attitude of, " yuck another day of school." I think from now on I will wake up with an attitude of , Thanks God for another day of school!"

Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:29, Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths.
