How rude that I should just expect the Holy Spirit to be there to help me when I study, pray, and praise! I need to invite Him into these and all areas of my life every day. I am sorry Holy Spirit please forgive me. I thank You for all those times You have been there with out my inviting You. I am glad my ignorance hasn't kept You away. Now help me remember this lesson and to live it. IN Jesus Name Amen

An Invitation To The Holy Spirit

Come Holy Spirit as I look into God's Word.

Give me understanding cause my heart and soul to be stirred.

Come Holy Spirit guide and teach me as I read.

Give me wisdom that all of God's words I may heed.

Come Holy Spirit fill me now with You.

Give me a pure heart that I may worship in spirit and in truth.

Come Holy Spirit cause the praises from me to flow.

Give me a heavenly language that I may grow.

Come Holy spirit as I seek God's face.

Give me a humble heart as I thank Him for His mercy and grace.

Snorkeling

While we were in Hawaii I tried my husbands snorkel. I was really glad I did because it was wonderful to be able to see all the colorful fish! Now I have a snorkel set of my own. It takes a little getting use to. The mask covers my eyes and nose and I have to breath through my mouth. Breathing in and out my mouth was pretty easy to get use to. But standing up with big fins on my feet was not so easy! Well anyone that knows me can tell you I am the most uncoordinated person on the planet. My first time trying to stand up with those fins on was very exciting! I thrashed and took in a little water. Well so I drank half the ocean. I am still glad I tried snorkeling and I know that the more I do it the better I will get. It reminded me of  how the Holy Spirit helps me to dive into God's word and see deeper into it's meaning. Every time I read I get more out of it than just what my eyes first read. As I learn more about God, the people in the bible, their laws, language and other details things take on different meanings. This is good because as I grow in God His words become more and more alive and I apply them to my life. The Holy Spirit like the mask helps me to see in a way that I wasn't able to before. Also my breathing changes. I breath deep the breath of God as I study His word and I exhale praise and worship. Like with the breathing tube of the snorkel set I am breathing in and exhaling out the same place. Only in this case it's not my mouth but my spirit. The bible says our spirit recognizes His spirit. My spirit sort of breathes Him in when I study His word or meditate on Him and His word. The bible says we must worship Him in spirit and in truth. My spirit sort of breaths out praise and worship as a natural result of breathing Him in. Hey anyone want to go spiritual snorkeling with me?! Grab a bible, invite the Holy Spirit along, dive in! Breath deep the breath of God! And I don't think you will have any problem remembering to exhale, because praise and worship will come natural the more you see.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord! Psalm 150:6, But As it is written: "eye has not seen, nor ear has not heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10, All Your works shall praise You O Lord, and Your saints shall bless you, they shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, and talk of Your power, to make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of His kingdom, and Your kingdom endures throughout all generations. Psalm 145:10-13
