It is so good to be alive! The things God can do in, with, and through me! I can be and ocean! A fountain! And so much more! The things God can do in, with, and through me! It's incredible!

A Salt and Water Prayer

Holy Spirit come and make me salty.

Keep me humble, help me flee from ways that are haughty.

Holy Spirit flow through me.

Living water for all to receive from thee.

Cause them to taste and see that God is good.

Bring them life, light, and brotherhood.

Holy Spirit don't ever let me loose my salt.

 Lord bless me never let the living water in me come to a halt.

Salty water, sweet water, I will be.

I am a fountain, an ocean, because I am in You, and Your  in me.

Salt Water

Salt water is suppose to be able to keep me afloat better than the chlorine water in a swimming pool. I haven't tested this out because as a non swimmer I am not willing to test it out. Anyway today I was thinking about salt water holding people up. As a Christian I need to be very salty and full of living water to hold people up. The salt and water in me may even keep someone from spiritually drowning. You see the salt I speak of  influences, flavors, preserves, and mixed with water makes people float better. If  I have a poor or bad reputation as a Christian I have lost my salt (influence). Then I am no longer an effective witness of the gospel. So it is important to me to diligently guard my walk and relationship with Jesus. If  I am not full of the Holy Spirit I am not very flavorful either. When I am full of the Holy Spirit people are better able to taste and see that God is good. Also it makes the flavor of my Christian life exciting and interesting instead of bland and boring. Which hopefully makes people crave for a good taste of God for themselves. God's word preserves me by instructing, correcting, and convincing me. Instructing me to do right and flee from sin. Correcting me by showing me the error of my ways and calling me to repentance. Convincing me constantly of God's love for me, reminding me that Jesus died for me, and removing all doubt of my salvation. I am glad that as a Christian out of me flows living water. Mixed with the salt it can help keep people afloat until they get a grip on Jesus hand and He gets a grip on theirs. Living water is when I believe in Jesus and what He did for me. That belief  flows from me to others. My belief  in all He said, taught, did, and is doing also flows to others. These are rivers of living water. This water can produce life and refresh. So if  the salt and the water is mixed together and fills me and flows from me, people will be influenced, taste God, be saved, be preserved, and stay afloat until they get a grip on Jesus. The only way I can get the right mixture of salt and water is to: seek God daily, talk to Jesus constantly, and walk, talk, and be filled with the Holy Spirit daily.

You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. Matthew 5:13, He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. John 7:38, ( As Jesus taught love one another as He loved us, bear one another's burdens, Go preach the gospel to every living creature.)
